Why are they called Paleo chocolate balls anyway? Paleo is short of Paleolithic; it is a diet used today by people who want to lose weight and become healthy. Basically, it is described as how and what

people ate 2.5 million years ago. Hence, it is also referred to as the cavemen diet. Human diet started changing 10,000 years ago when legumes and grains were cultivated. As a result, people replaced clean animal food and plants over high carbohydrates, high toxic chemical diets and low nutrient meals. This has made people weaker, prone to cancer, obese, diabetic, prone to skin problems and have higher incidences of heart diseases. Due to increased awareness of these negative effects, people are making a diet change today and switching to the Paleo diet instead.

Even the most dedicated Paleo advocate will still crave for something sweet every once in a while. This diet is not about starving yourself so preparing some Paleo chocolate balls is perfectly fine.
