Baked Pears

INGREDIENTS
• 4 pears 
• 2 tbsp honey 
• 3 tbsp butter or clarified butter, melted 
• 1 tsp ground ginger 
• ½ tsp lavender flowers, optional


PREPARATION
1 Preheat over to 375 F 
2 Peel the skin from each of the pears. 
3 Remove bottom core of pears and cut the pears so that they are flat on the bottom and stand straight up. 
4 Place the pears in a deep baking dish and drizzle with butter and honey. Sprinkle with ginger and lavender and then cover the dish with aluminum foil. Create slits in the foil to allow air to escape. 
5 Cook for about 1 hour, basting the pears with the sauce a few times. Prior to serving, baste pears again with excess sauce.
